The Vidhyadeep Institute of Business Administration, Vidhyadeep University, organized a vibrant and culturally enriching Rakhi Celebration in E-Building, Room No. 104, at the Vidhyadeep Campus, Anita–Kim, Surat. The event took place with great enthusiasm and festive spirit, coordinated efficiently by Mrs. Bhagyashree Patel and Miss Hetasvi Patel, and witnessed the active participation of BBA and MBA students.
The main objective of the event was to celebrate the traditional festival of Raksha Bandhan while fostering creativity, innovation, and sustainability among students. The celebration aimed to highlight the emotional bond of love, protection, and respect that the festival represents while also encouraging students to express their artistic skills and environmental awareness.
Students participated enthusiastically in three engaging competitions — Rakhi Making, Card Making, and Gift Making (Best Out of Waste) — each designed to promote artistic expression and eco-friendly creativity. These activities allowed students to showcase their imagination, aesthetic sense, and ability to create meaningful art from simple and sustainable materials.
The entries were judged by Dr. Esha Pandya and Dr. Sangeeta Parmar, who evaluated the participants based on creativity, presentation, design neatness, and thematic relevance. The event hall was beautifully decorated, radiating the festive charm of Raksha Bandhan. Students proudly displayed their creations, and the entire atmosphere was filled with excitement, joy, and cultural spirit.
Highlights of the Event:
• Rakhi Making Competition: Students designed unique rakhis using colorful threads, beads, sequins, and decorative materials, blending tradition with creativity.
 • Card Making Competition: Participants created heartfelt greeting cards symbolizing love, gratitude, and the sacred sibling bond celebrated during Raksha Bandhan.
 • Gift Making (Best Out of Waste): Students demonstrated eco-conscious thinking by crafting thoughtful gifts from reusable and recyclable materials.
The judges appreciated the students’ efforts, innovation, and presentation, commending their ability to combine cultural values with creative craftsmanship.
The Rakhi Celebration successfully brought together tradition, creativity, and sustainability, offering students a meaningful and enjoyable platform to express their talents. The dedication of the organizers and the enthusiastic participation of students made the event a resounding success, leaving behind beautiful memories and a stronger sense of cultural connection at Vidhyadeep University.
