Ragging-Free Campus
We strictly adhere to the policy of being a Ragging-Free Campus. Vidhyadeep University ensures a safe and inclusive environment for every student. Any student found guilty of ragging will face immediate suspension and strict disciplinary action. The incident will be reviewed by the Anti-Ragging Committee following due process of law. Students are reminded that ragging is a serious offence resulting in dismissal from the University and a mandatory police report as per the Education Department, Government of Gujarat circular.
We Follow These Anti-Ragging Measures
As per UGC guidelines (No. F.1-16/2009 (CPP-II) dated 21-10-2009), the following measures are implemented at Vidhyadeep University:
- Expulsion from the University or hostel for severe offences.
- Suspension from classes or hostel facilities.
- Fine with mandatory public apology.
- Withholding scholarships or academic benefits.
- Debarment from cultural or sports participation.
- Withholding of examination results.
- Entry of incident on Transfer or Migration Certificates.
- No placement assistance to offenders.
- Police complaint as per Supreme Court directive.
- Mandatory anti-ragging affidavit submission as per UGC norms.
- Continuous campus vigilance and reporting mechanism.
- Immediate investigation by the Anti-Ragging Committee.
- Confidential reporting system to ensure student protection.
Disciplinary Action
The Disciplinary Committee continuously monitors student behaviour. Any report of ragging is immediately reviewed, and after due process, the committee may enforce suspension, expulsion, or other penalties deemed necessary. Vidhyadeep University enforces a strict Zero-Tolerance Policy for ragging within or outside the campus. All actions are final and binding as per Office Order No. AU/REG/2019-20/09/023 dated 20-09-2019.
