NEP 2020 ORIENTATION & SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME - 35

Vidhyadeep Institute of Engineering and Technology (VIEAT), under Vidhyadeep University, actively collaborated with UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), Central University of Gujarat, for the successful conduct of the Online NEP 2020 Orientation and Sensitization Programme – 35 (Prog ID: MMC-025-2025-NOV-A-07104). The programme was organized from 21st November to 29th November 2025 in online mode, with daily sessions held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.


The objective of this orientation programme was to familiarize faculty members and academic administrators with the vision, structure, and implementation framework of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The initiative aimed to strengthen institutional readiness and enhance understanding of the transformative reforms introduced under NEP 2020 in higher education.


The programme focused on the following key themes:

• Holistic and multidisciplinary education framework

• Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and multiple entry-exit system

• Outcome-based education and competency-driven curriculum

• Skill development, vocational integration, and employability enhancement

• Research and innovation promotion under NEP guidelines

• Digital learning, online education, and blended teaching models

• Institutional autonomy, governance reforms, and quality assurance mechanisms

• Indian Knowledge Systems and value-based education


Eminent academicians and institutional leaders addressed the participants, providing practical insights into policy implementation strategies at the university and college levels. Sessions included interactive discussions, case-based examples, and clarity on regulatory provisions to ensure effective adoption of NEP reforms within affiliated institutions.


The collaborative effort between VIEAT and UGC-MMTTC, Central University of Gujarat, reflects a strong commitment toward academic transformation aligned with national education priorities. The programme provided a structured platform for faculty members to understand policy objectives, curriculum restructuring processes, credit frameworks, and innovative teaching-learning practices.


Overall, the Online NEP 2020 Orientation and Sensitization Programme – 35 significantly contributed to building awareness, strengthening institutional preparedness, and equipping educators with the knowledge required to implement NEP 2020 effectively in their academic environments.
