Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Vidhyadeep Law College organized a Legal Awareness Program at Delasa Village on 04 April 2026. The activity was conducted as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative, which focuses on the holistic development and empowerment of rural communities. A total of 26 students actively participated in this outreach program, contributing their efforts toward spreading awareness among the villagers.
The main objective of the program was to bridge the gap between legal knowledge and rural society. It aimed to educate villagers about their fundamental legal rights, available legal remedies, and the importance of being aware of laws that protect them. In addition to legal literacy, the program also emphasized the significance of health, hygiene, and sanitation practices, which are essential for improving the quality of life in rural areas.
During the execution of the program, a team of 26 students visited Delasa Village and engaged with the local residents through interactive awareness sessions. The students explained various legal provisions in a simple and understandable manner, focusing particularly on issues related to women’s safety, child protection, and access to justice. They also discussed common legal problems faced by villagers and provided basic guidance on how such issues can be addressed through proper legal channels.
Alongside legal awareness, the students highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness, using safe drinking water, and practicing personal hygiene. They explained how adopting proper sanitation habits can help prevent diseases and promote a healthier lifestyle. The sessions were designed to be interactive, allowing villagers to ask questions, express their concerns, and share their personal experiences.
The approach adopted by the students ensured that the information was easily understood by people of all age groups and educational backgrounds. Through discussions, real-life examples, and friendly communication, the students were able to effectively connect with the villagers and create a positive learning environment.
The impact of the program was highly encouraging. Villagers gained better knowledge of their legal rights and became more aware of the support systems available to them. They also showed increased interest in adopting healthier and more hygienic practices in their daily lives. The program successfully contributed to raising awareness and promoting social responsibility within the community.
For the students, the activity proved to be a valuable learning experience. It enhanced their practical understanding of social and legal issues, improved their communication and teamwork skills, and instilled a strong sense of social responsibility. Overall, the program was successful in achieving its objectives and strengthening the bond between the institution and the rural community.
