Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Vidhyadeep Law College organized a Legal Awareness Program at Delasa Village on 04 April 2026. The program was conducted as part of the institution’s commitment to rural development, social awareness, and community engagement. A total of 20 students actively participated in this initiative, contributing towards spreading awareness among the rural population.
The primary aim of the program was to promote legal literacy among villagers and make them aware of their basic rights and duties. The activity also focused on educating people about the importance of health, hygiene, and sanitation practices. In addition, the program aimed to inform villagers about various government welfare schemes and encourage a sense of social responsibility and legal consciousness in rural areas.
During the activity, a team of 20 students visited Delasa Village and conducted interactive sessions with the local residents. The students explained essential legal rights in a simple and understandable manner, including rights related to women, children, and consumers. They also discussed various day-to-day legal issues faced by villagers and guided them on how to address such problems effectively.
Along with legal awareness, students emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness, proper sanitation, and personal hygiene. They explained how good hygiene practices can prevent diseases and improve the overall quality of life. The sessions were designed to be interactive, allowing villagers to ask questions, share their experiences, and clarify their doubts.
The awareness was spread through direct communication, group discussions, and practical examples so that even those with limited literacy could easily understand the concepts. The students ensured that the sessions were engaging and informative, encouraging maximum participation from the villagers.
The outcome of the program was highly positive. It significantly enhanced legal awareness among the villagers and made them more conscious of their rights and responsibilities. People also developed a better understanding of health and hygiene practices, which is essential for a healthier community. Furthermore, the program helped in strengthening the relationship between the college and the adopted village under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative.
Overall, the activity proved to be beneficial not only for the villagers but also for the students. It provided them with practical exposure, improved their communication and interpersonal skills, and instilled a strong sense of social responsibility. The program successfully fulfilled its objectives and contributed towards building a more aware and responsible rural society.
