Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship initiative that aims to bridge the gap between higher educational institutions and rural communities, fostering sustainable development through active engagement. In alignment with this objective, Vidhyadeep Law College undertook a meaningful initiative by organizing a Legal Awareness Program at Asnad Village. The program was designed to promote legal literacy among villagers while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of health, hygiene, and sanitation in everyday life. Such initiatives play a crucial role in empowering rural populations by making them aware of their rights and responsibilities.
Program Description:
On 04 April 2026, a team of 20 enthusiastic and dedicated students from Vidhyadeep Law College visited Asnad Village to conduct awareness activities. The primary objective of the program was to educate villagers about their legal rights, duties, and the significance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The students actively engaged with the local community and explained essential legal concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
The session covered important topics such as women’s rights, child protection laws, and fundamental rights and duties of citizens. Students also highlighted the legal safeguards available to marginalized groups and the importance of seeking legal help when required. In addition to legal awareness, the program emphasized the significance of cleanliness, proper sanitation practices, and disease prevention measures. The interactive nature of the session encouraged villagers to ask questions, share their concerns, and participate actively in discussions, making the program both informative and impactful.
