Details of the content: The Lamp Lighting Ceremony is a significant and time-honored tradition in the nursing profession, symbolizing the dedication, responsibility, and commitment of aspiring nurses. Held at vidhyadeep institute of nursing, this event marks the formal initiation of student nurses into the noble field of healthcare. The ceremony is inspired by Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing, who carried a lamp while caring for wounded soldiers, symbolizing hope and service.The senior nurses lighting the candles of junior nurses carries symbolic meaning it means that they are passing on their Knowledge and Experience, Mentorship and Guidance, Continuity of Care, it also symbolizes Unity. Prayer dance was done by 2nd semester students.The significance of lamp lighting was explained by Beauty Singh ma’am. Principal sir, Dr.manjunath beth welcomed all the Dignitaries with his joyful words. Each and every student of 1st year attends the lamp lighting ceremony and takes the oath before going for hospital posting.Guests were give a token of love from Nursing department.Dr. Padma Kumar, the esteemed Chief Guest of the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the significance of compassion, dedication, and lifelong learning in the nursing profession. He encouraged the students to uphold the values of integrity and patient-centered care, highlighting the noble responsibility they carry as future healthcare professionals."
