Shri S. R. Patel B.Ed. College, affiliated with Vidhyadeep University, organized the Diksharambh (Induction) Programme for newly admitted B.Ed. trainees with the aim of initiating them into the academic, cultural, and professional environment of the institution. The programme sought to acquaint trainees with the vision, mission, and values of the college and to inspire them toward excellence in the teaching profession.
The programme commenced at 12:15 PM with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The newly admitted trainees were welcomed with traditional tilak and sakar, creating a warm and respectful atmosphere. Assistant Professor Jayshree Rawal invoked a spiritual ambience by reciting Sanskrit shlokas and leading the prayer. This was followed by the collective singing of the University Song, which instilled a sense of unity and institutional pride among the participants. Senior trainees from the second year presented a welcome song, extending heartfelt greetings to the newcomers.
In-charge Principal Dr. Sanjay Patel formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Jayesh Patel, by presenting a book as a token of respect. In his address, he emphasized the importance of discipline, ethical values, and commitment in the teaching profession and encouraged trainees to uphold the dignity of the institution. Dr. Sangeeta Parmar introduced the institution, highlighting its academic culture, facilities, and achievements. Dr. Amit Yadav delivered an informative session on the structure, objectives, and expectations of the B.Ed. training programme, guiding trainees toward purposeful engagement in their professional preparation.
Chief Guest Dr. Jayesh Patel addressed the trainees on national goals, constitutional values, and the role of teachers in nation-building, motivating them to develop a strong professional identity and social responsibility. The vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Professor Ankita Patel, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries and participants. The programme was effectively anchored by Dr. Naresh Rohit and Prof. Jayshree Rawal.
The Diksharambh Programme successfully fostered confidence, institutional belonging, and professional awareness among trainees, laying a strong foundation for their journey toward becoming competent, ethical, and reflective teachers. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
