Expert talk on BNS by Adv. Mr. Sachin Ghuge

Vidhyadeep Law College organized an expert talk on the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on 24 January 2026 to enhance students’ understanding of India’s new criminal law framework. The session was delivered by Adv. Sachin Ghuge, who explained the key changes, new offences, and victim-centric approach of the law using practical examples. The interactive programme helped students gain valuable insights into the evolving criminal justice system and its real-world application.

Legal Awareness Program under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

Vidhyadeep Law College, affiliated with Vidhyadeep University, conducted a Legal Awareness Programme on 26 January 2026 at Sayadla Village, Olpad under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative. LL.B. students educated villagers on constitutional rights, legal aid, RTI, Lok Adalat, and cyber safety through discussions and a street play, successfully promoting legal literacy and community awareness.

Moot Court Activity

Vidhyadeep Law College organized a Moot Court Competition on 28 January 2026 to enhance students’ practical legal skills and courtroom exposure. Participants presented memorials and oral arguments before a judges’ panel, gaining experience in advocacy, drafting, and court etiquette. The event proved highly beneficial in building students’ confidence, legal understanding, and professional competence.

Visit to Regional Forensic Science Lab

Vidhyadeep Law College organized an educational visit to the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Surat on 31 January 2026 to provide students with practical exposure to forensic methods used in criminal investigation. Students observed demonstrations on evidence analysis, interacted with experts, and learned the role of scientific reports in courts. The visit proved highly informative, strengthening students’ understanding of the link between law and forensic science

Lajpore Central Jail Visit

Vidhyadeep Law College organized an educational visit to Lajpore Central Jail on 17 February 2026 for its students to provide practical exposure to prison administration and the correctional system. The visit helped students understand inmate management, rehabilitation measures, and legal safeguards for prisoners, making it an informative learning experience linking theory with real-world criminal justice practices.
